Despite being on course for their worst team record in more than three decades, the New York Yankees will continue to pass the costs on to their fans in the form of increases in the price of season tickets.
The Yankees sent renewal invoices to fans, which showed an increase of up to ten percent in season ticket prices.
According to a fan who spoke to the New York Posthis grandstand seats will get about $50 more this season than last year for a 41 game plan.
Other fans told the Post that their tickets have gone up about $3,000 over the past two seasons.
This all comes as the Yankees come into Saturday’s game against Tampa Bay with a 62-66 record — 18 games behind the AL East-leading Baltimore Orioles and nine games shy of a berth for the WildCard.

Yankees fans have seen a terrible team this season and are now facing further price increases.



Fans on social media were furious and mocked at the team’s “boldness” in the midst of an awful season.
On social media, fans were quick to criticize the team and express their anger.
