Three people, including a baby, have died in a horrific fatal crash after a vehicle overturned in Western Australia’s Midwest.
Emergency services were alerted to the crash on the Geraldton-Mount Magnet Road, just east of the Gabyon-Tardie Road intersection near Yalgoo at approximately 10.50pm on Saturday.
A woman, believed to be in her 20s, and a baby died at the scene, WA Police said in a statement.
Four other occupants were airlifted to Perth by the Royal Flying Doctor Service and taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious to critical injuries.
A police spokesman said the woman, believed to be in her 30s, died in hospital.
Western Australian Premier Roger Cook described it as a “horrible, horrible incident”.

“Because of the situation that it was in, the first responders were largely volunteers,” he told ABC.
‘And so our hearts go out to the families of the victims and the first responders, we thank them for their incredible work.
“It must have been a heartbreaking scene and we wish the best to all those who were affected by this incident.”
WA Police have appealed for anyone with information about the crash or dashcam or mobile phone footage to come forward.
