Linda Yaccarino is now officially the chief operating officer of Twitter. Yaccarinowho previously chaired NBCUniversal’s ad sales was hired by Elon Musk last month to lead the company. She also updated the bio on her LinkedIn profile.
Yaccarino previously said she was inspired by Musk’s vision to create a better future.
“I’ve long been inspired by (Musk’s) vision to create a better future. I’m excited to help bring this vision to Twitter and transform this company together!” Yaccarino had tweeted.

Just as Yaccarino took the top job at Twitter, her first decision was to hire her former NBC colleague, Joe Benarroch, to build Elon Musk’s ‘Twitter 2.0’. Benarroch worked with her as executive vice president at NBC Universal.
“Tomorrow, I begin another professional adventure at Twitter, taking on a role focused on corporate operations. It has been an absolute honor to be at NBCUniversal, where I’ve had the pleasure of working with Linda and our leadership team – to drive our business priorities, create meaningful advocacy and help build incredible partnerships across this industry,” he said in a post.
“I look forward to bringing my experience to Twitter and working with the entire team on Twitter 2.0,” added Benarroch.

Yaccarino faces a tough task
Since Musk took over Twitter, advertisers have fled the platform. Reports indicated that they are concerned that their ads could appear next to inappropriate content.
Yaccarino will have a tough job bringing ads back onto the platform. She will also help Musk make Twitter the “everything app,” which could provide various services, including payments.
