Xander Schauffele has revealed how some of golf’s biggest stars mocked Scottie Scheffler following his shocking arrest last week.
The world number one faces several charges, including felony second-degree assault on a police officer, after he was detained while trying to enter Valhalla before the second round of the PGA Championship.
Scheffler was booked into a Kentucky jail and dressed in an orange jumpsuit for a mugshot that soon went viral.
He shares a physical therapist with several other top players, including Schauffele, Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth.
They’re all in a WhatsApp chat and Schauffele, the newly crowned PGA champion, revealed how his rivals roasted the world number one.

“He took it like a champ and we have a group chat, with our physio and our team. It’s me, Gary, JT, Jordan, Scottie, Pat (Cantlay), we all share the same physio,” he said. Barstool.

Scheffler raced back from jail in time for his tee time on Friday, but finished the weekend eight strokes behind eventual winner Schauffele.
The world number two said he assumed Scheffler’s arrest was a joke when he first heard about it.
‘He handled it very well. In true Scottie Scheffler fashion, he’s a good guy,” Schauffele continued.
Schauffele also confirmed that the group photo has already changed to Scheffler’s mugshot.
‘As soon as I saw it I thought it was a joke and then I saw it on the news and I thought, “Oh my God, this really happened!”
“It looks like things are going to come out of all this well, it looks like things are going to fail.”
Scheffler’s arraignment in Louisville was postponed until June.
The world’s number one, who allegedly dragged a police officer to the ground after failing to stop, will be arraigned in a Louisville court on Tuesday at 9 a.m.
However, that appearance has been rescheduled for June 3.
