The name of Colt Gray, the suspected shooter at Apalachee High School, has been blocked from X’s search function in the wake of the massacre.
Users trying to search for the 14-year-old’s name on the social network are met with an error message reading: “Something went wrong. Please try reloading.”
A message at the bottom of the screen adds: “Something went wrong, but don’t worry, it’s not your fault.”

It is unclear at this time whether the action is deliberate or a technical error.
Elon Musk’s platform had already blocked users from searching for Taylor Swift’s name in an attempt to crack down on sexually explicit deepfakes of the star. Elon Musk has yet to comment on the situation.
Colt is the prime suspect in Wednesday’s mass shooting that left four people dead.
Students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14, and teachers Christina Irimie, 53, and Richard Aspinwall, 39, were identified as the victims.
