Wyndham Vale stabbing: young man Adam killed just meters from his home
A young man was stabbed to death just meters from his home after a nighttime brawl between two rival groups.
Adam, 21, was found lying on the ground “motionless” on the side of a road in Wyndham Vale, west of Melbourne, after the street brawl just before 10pm on Friday.
Victoria Police confirmed “homicide squad detectives are investigating”.
Police added that “two groups of people were involved in a physical altercation in Butler Grove,” in a statement.
Witnesses reported that a baseball bat was found next to Adam’s body.

A “broken” Wyndham Vale mother shared a photo of Adam (pictured left) with her son and described the deceased man as “funny and caring”.

The fight is believed to have taken place on Friday evening at Butler Grove (pictured), off Ribblesdale Avenue, Wyndham Vale, in Melbourne’s southwest.
It is understood Adam and a friend were being chased down a street near his home when the attack took place.
A local resident said she heard “men shouting” outside her home and a car speeding away screaming.
Another woman, Tiffany, said she found Adam unconscious near her driveway.
A “broken” mother from Wyndham Vale, whose own son was Adam’s best friend, described him as “such a funny and caring young man”.
‘(I) can’t believe you’re gone Adam. I loved you as if you were my own son. You have always been my son’s best friend.
She shared a hashtag #justiceforadam, in two publications.
A friend of Adam’s repeated the reference to “justice” being served.
“Rest in peace brother, I’m sorry I couldn’t save you, all I could do was just hold you, you will get justice for this,” he wrote.

“The circumstances surrounding the incident remain to be determined and an investigation is still ongoing,” Victoria Police also said.
They confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that no arrests have yet been made or charges laid against anyone.
