Travis and Jason Kelce have hinted they could embark on a road trip to Wrexham after football club co-owner Rob McElhenney offered them a tour.

Jason was left blushing this week after talking about Travis’ new teammate Louis Rees-Zammit on his New Heights podcast.

The former rugby star joined the Chiefs and Jason revealed what a “stereotypical” Welshman is like in his mind.

‘When I think of Welsh, I think the British call it “posh”; I think of these rich, high-class, simply beautiful white people. “It’s the general stereotype of what I would think of a Welshman,” Jason said.

His comments went viral and the recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center was forced to back down.

“I’ve come to understand that I was very wrong about this,” Kelce Sr. said. ‘I’m not sure why I had these preconceived ideas in my mind, but I’ve discovered that the Welsh are exactly like my kind of people. Happy to be incredibly wrong.

That admission prompted TV star McElhenney to give the brothers a true taste of Welsh life.

Since taking charge of Wrexham, McElhenney and fellow Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds have turned the North Wales club into one of the biggest stories in British football.

The actor responded to Kelce’s comments on social media by writing, “Yes, incredibly wrong.” I should show you around someday. Maybe you know some people. See for yourself.’

The brothers seem open to the idea. Shortly after, the official New Heights account on X wrote: ‘Out of the House: Wrexham Edition?’ Outta the House is a common segment on the show.

The two brothers also talked football on this week’s podcast, with Jason insisting that watching Lionel Messi play for Inter Miami is not the same as watching him in Europe or with the Argentine national team.

Messi lit up Arrowhead Stadium in Inter Miami’s victory over Sporting Kansas City over the weekend, but Jason said: “It’s not the same to be in the MLS… I’m not shitting on the MLS.

And he added: ‘I’m saying it’s not international football. When you think about football, I know there are all these wonderful clubs abroad, there’s MLS, I think about the World Cup, that’s all I’m saying. “It’s an international game and then everything else.”

“You see a person on the biggest possible stage, with the biggest team ever,” he explained. ‘This is the best soccer player in the World Cup. “That’s different than watching Lionel Messi destroy it in Kansas City, just saying.”

While his older brother praised international competitions, three-time Super Bowl champion Travis insisted “it’s all about the Premier League.” Meanwhile, Wrexham were recently promoted to League One, the third tier of football in the UK.
