wrestling legend 2 Cold Scorpio was reportedly arrested after violently stabbing a man during a fight at a gas station, but the 58-year-old insists he acted in self-defense.

Police reportedly found a man lying on the ground, with blood coming from his head, chest, buttocks, legs and abdomen. They took him to the hospital as he fell in and out of consciousness.

The violence reportedly took place earlier this month, in Kansas City, around 3:40 am. The former wrestler, whose real name is Charles Scaggs, told police he worked as a security guard at Love’s Travel Stop.

According TMZ, Scaggs admitted to taking a knife from his pocket and stabbing him during an altercation. The incident reportedly sparked after Scaggs saw him lighting a cigarette inside the store.

The stabbing victim claims he thought he turned off the smoke before entering the building, but told TMZ it may still be on.

Scaggs is alleged to have told the man he couldn’t smoke inside, only to be threatened and asked: ‘Fuck you, (what) the fuck are you going to do?’

According to TMZ, the two men left the store and Scaggs claimed the man tried to struggle with him.

He is said to have pleaded not guilty to the charges and is due back in court for a hearing next month.

Scaggs made his professional wrestling debut in 1985. He has since competed in WWE, WCW, ECW and in Japan, as 2 Cold Scorpio and Flash Funk, but failed to earn the impressive salaries that some wrestlers have demanded.
