Brisbane Lions star Kate Lutkins has revealed how she juggles motherhood and being a professional athlete, and how she managed to get back into training just three months after her daughter came into the world.

Lutkins, a three-time All Australian and 2021 AFLW Grand Final Best on Ground winner, missed most of the 2022 season with an ACL injury before becoming pregnant last year.

Lutkins, 35, says being a father and being an athlete complement each other.

“They both work very well together, they both complement each other and they also make you improve on each other,” he said. Seven news.

‘The nursery is only 10 minutes from the BHA stadium, so I go back and feed him, I go back to the stadium and do a run, recovery or gym session and then I go back to the nursery and feed him again. .’

“We are grateful to announce that baby Clarkson will be born on October 23.”
