Martin Brundle has done it again.
The Sky Sports F1 pundit, who made several mid-air mistakes during his infamous pre-race walks, admitted he didn’t know who Joe Jonas was before approaching the singer for an interview on Sunday.
“We have one of the Jonas brothers here,” Brundle said on the live broadcast, as he walked across the starting grid of the Monaco Grand Prix.
“I’ll admit I could lie, I could make something up, but I don’t know what,” he added.
Joe, who is in a band with his brothers Kevin and Nick, didn’t seem offended by the mistake and shared a laugh with Brundle.

The Burnin’ Up musician said he is a fan of the sport and has previously attended F1 races in Miami, Austin and Montreal.
“I’m friends with Pierre,” Joe explained, referring to Alpine driver Pierre Gasly.
“So I hope to see a good return for him.”
After an electric qualifying session on Saturday, which saw local hero Charles Leclerc snatch pole position from McLaren’s Oscar Piastri, the lights went out for the race on Sunday afternoon.
Reigning world champion Max Verstappen started in sixth place with little opportunity to maneuver on the track, which is notorious for its difficulty in completing overtakes.
Meanwhile, teammate Sergio Perez was saved from a “monstrous” crash at 160mph on a chaotic first lap of the Grand Prix.
Joe said he attended several F1 races, including the United States Grand Prix in Texas last year.
Marshals were forced to clear a significant amount of debris before racing could resume.
The Red Bull driver, who started 16th, was hit by Kevin Magnussen’s Haas uphill after the first corner.
The Dane’s left front caught Pérez’s right rear, sending him flying into the barriers.
Perez then bounced off Nico Hulkenberg’s other Haas in a dramatic pinball action that brought out a long red flag as the debris was cleared.
Pérez’s car was practically destroyed and only one wheel remained, although the monocoque protected the driver from physical damage.
The two Haas drivers also escaped the collision uninjured.
