The show has received criticism from viewers for featuring more international acts than ever in this year’s series.

Last month, fans even threatened to boycott the show and call Ofcom because claimed the ITV The program has become an international show.

And during the final Amanda defended the show’s diversity and thanked dance duo Afronita and Abigail for coming from Ghana to take part in the competition.

After the couple’s energetic performance, the judge gushed, “I’m amazed by both. Thank you very much for coming here.

Despite the incredible talent, fans were unhappy with Amanda and took to Twitter to suggest the show be renamed ‘The Globe’s Got Talent’ after she insisted it was an international show.

They wrote: ‘If #BGT is a “global show” like Amanda just claimed, then maybe change the name to ‘The Globe’s Got Talent.’

‘#BGT No, Amanda, it’s called Britain’s got Talent! If you want it global, call it “The World’s Got Talent.”

“Last night I heard Amanda say that this show is global, so why isn’t it called The Globes Have Talent?”; ‘No, Amanda, the program is NOT global. It’s BRITAIN has talent.’

‘If it’s a “global competition” Amanda, why is it called BRITAIN’S Got Talent? #BGT’.

Early in the series, disgruntled fans admitted that they believed the show should be for Brits because of its name and wanted to take the issue to the UK television regulator.

Angry fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to complain about multiple international auditions, with few acts from Britain.

Some wrote: “Britain’s Got Talent appears to have transformed from Britain’s Got Talent to an international variety show.”

And also Britain’s Got People With Sad Stories. It is very sad when people get sick and it is very inspiring when they recover from an illness and can be happy and healthy. But doing that and then squawking into a microphone is not talent.

“If someone lives in the UK but is from somewhere else, then obviously I understand they can audition, but what’s the point of acting especially for an audition?”

‘Disappointed to see so many acts explored from other countries on BGT. It kind of undermines the essence of BGT and misses the point. Maybe no one applied this year.

“All the acts have been incredible, but I hope they are not replaced by UK talent.”
