The unsolved murder of a young model has come under renewed scrutiny after a close friend made an explosive new claim that she was having affairs.

On the afternoon of July 4, 1997, 25-year-old Adelaide woman Corinna Marr was shot dead execution-style, with bullets to the head and chest, in her suburban unit. Her killer has never been brought to justice.

There were no signs of forced entry, and the way Ms Marr was murdered suggested she was comfortable with whoever was in her home that day.

Property worker and part-time model Colin Todd’s close friend and boss has now claimed she told him she was having affairs before her death.

“I was giving her advice as a friend, as a close friend, regarding certain activities that she was involved in and adventures with other people,” Todd told Channel 9. Under investigation program on Tuesday night.

“And I actually pointed out to him, ‘You’re making things too close to home with people you shouldn’t.’

Mr. Todd was on his way to pick up Ms. Marr to take her to work that night when he called ahead to say he was late.

Mrs Marr’s husband, Robert, told her she was dead.

Channel Nine’s Liz Hayes told Mr Todd he was under suspicion at the time.

“I arrived at the scene and learned that anyone who is at the crime scene at the beginning of the play becomes a suspect,” he responded.

“You know, you have to get on that boat.”

He said police interviewed him that same afternoon and accused him of killing Mrs Marr.

Hayes asked him directly if he killed Corrina.

“No, I didn’t,” Mr. Todd replied.

Daily Mail Australia does not suggest Mr Todd or Mr Marr were in any way involved in Ms Marr’s death.

Nearly three decades after his daughter’s murder, Marr’s now elderly father, Trevor King, is still searching for answers.

‘Who did it? Why did they do it? You can’t take a beautiful girl out of the equation,’ she said.

‘There is no reason for this to happen. She wasn’t into any criminal activity or anything like that.

‘We really just want closure. I hope something comes up. Hopefully before I die,” said the heartbroken Mr. King.

From 2004 to 2012, lawyer Paul Heywood-Smith KC, who represented an alleged suspect never charged in the case, was denied access to secret documents in the police case file.

“And as a result of that, we don’t know much,” Heywood-Smith said.

Police argued that revealing the information was “not in the public interest,” which investigators said could mean they did not want to reveal their methods or interfere with the ongoing investigation.

‘We are now 27 years after the murder. Police methodology would have changed so much… that any methodology from then will be of no interest,” Heywood-Smith said.

Former Adelaide news executive Graham Archer said “in an open investigation, police have the right to say, ‘We don’t want to release this information.'”

“But in saying that, I would have thought it would be in the police’s interest to show that they were following other leads,” he said.

“Talking to senior police officials, I know they are actually concerned about this case, but when I asked them if (the crackdown) would be lifted, they said that will never happen.”
