A homeowner was left horrified by chilling security footage showing two ghostly figures breaking into her home and crawling around while she was sleeping two weeks earlier.

Ming Li had slept through the entire ordeal at his home at Swan Place in Pennant Hills, in Sydney’s Hills district, at around 12.30am on March 17.

But she began to suspect something had happened after seeing several broken flower pots around the house and reviewing security footage of her kitchen.

CCTV in their home captured ghostly images of the pair, believed to be teenagers, prowling around their kitchen while using a flashlight to try to find anything of value.

They were seen entering and leaving the house three times before leaving empty-handed following the 10-minute bombardment which left Ms Li’s family scared.

Ming Li (pictured) said the incident left her too scared to sleep because her life feels “threatened.”

Ms. Li said she feels as if her life has been threatened by the robbery and now she “can’t sleep at night.”

His son, Jason Shiwang, was awake during the incident, but was upstairs chatting with friends and didn’t hear the teens snooping around.

“It was really scary because they were down the whole time,” he said. 7news.

“(We were) definitely in danger at that time, I realize.”

Ms Li believed the duo were searching the house for the keys to their Lexus parked in the driveway and only left when they discovered the remote control was broken.

Ms Li passed the footage to police, who confirmed that officers from Hills Police Area Command had begun an investigation.

NSW Police said one of the intruders was described as “wearing a dark colored hoodie, the other was wearing a light colored hoodie and a balaclava”.

“The resident reported the incident after reviewing footage from inside the home,” a spokesperson said.
