A woman left people absolutely stunned after using her deep fryer to make a cup of tea.
Brits are fiercely protective of the way a drink is made, and many are already horrified by more dishonest tea drinkers using a microwave to get their hot drink.
However, Whitney Ainscough from Rotherham has taken unconventional methods of making tea to a whole new level after revealing she makes hers in the deep fryer, where there were still some crisps left over from another meal.
Kicking off her TikTok tutorial, she told her more than a quarter of a million followers that all you need is a cup, a tea bag, and some cold water.

Boiling a brew in the microwave is a bit tricky, however, Whitney Ainscough from Rotherham has taken it to a whole new level by making her cup of tea in the deep fryer.
It took about six minutes for the mother to boil and warned viewers in the now-viral clip not to touch the cup immediately because it would be hot.
After setting the timer for six minutes, the mom, who goes by @itsmebadmom on TikTok, briefly checked her drink.
‘So that’s cooking. As you can see, the color is starting to come out,” she added.
She told her followers that at this point they should add milk to the hot drink.
After reaching the six-minute mark, she was ready to take a sip of her scalding hot tea and joked: “Absolutely spectacular.” So all you have to do is throw in the tea bag and it’s ready, done.
In the clip, which now has more than 2.1 million views, he warned viewers to be careful with the cup as it can be “quite hot” after the process.
However, many were angered by the way the social media influencer prepared her beer.
“This is a tremendous shame for us Brits,” one wrote. ‘How dare you do it in a deep fryer? “That’s really diabolical.”
Another chimed in: “Spilling milk in the fryer was my last straw.”
Others were quick to ask him why he didn’t use a teapot, with one user commenting: “They invented a teapot for a good reason.”
One viewer even offered to buy the mother a teapot.
