But now Sanna Marin has headed to New York.

The shot captured the essence of New York tourism, including its famous yellow taxis and towering buildings.

During his trip he also attended a “working lunch” with friends, where he enjoyed a fish salad with leafy greens and a main course of fresh bread.

Later, the former social democratic leader and two friends filmed a selfie video while walking through New York City’s sixth largest park, Central Park.

For the trip, she donned an off-white coat which she paired with black leggings and matching black accessories.

Then, she and a friend posed up a storm while sitting in front of a large water feature.

Hours later, Sanna posted an image of a cocktail adorned with a purple flower that she called “the cutest drink ever created.”

Her last image of the day showed the politician and her friends in costume as they met up with a former colleague for dinner at a New York restaurant.

She dressed all in black for the night out, while her shoulder-length brown hair was neatly styled with a side part.

The politician also posted an image of a cocktail adorned with a purple flower that she called “the cutest drink ever created.”

Sanna was the world’s youngest prime minister when she took office in 2019. She lost Finland’s general election to the leader of the country’s conservative party, Petteri Orpo, in April 2023.

Last May she announced that she was divorcing her husband Markus Räikkönen after 19 years together.

The couple, who share five-year-old daughter Emma Amalia Marín, were rarely seen together in public in the months before their divorce.

Sanna recently shared a series of photos from a visit to Berlin earlier this week.

Among the photographs was one of the city’s Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, which opened in 2005 and is described as “a place of contemplation, a place of remembrance and warning.”

He also visited the German Ministry of Health while in town.

The series of photos, which garnered more than 61,000 likes and 820 comments in the 20 hours since they were posted, were accompanied by a simple caption.

It simply said: “Berlin” and was followed by a black heart emoji.

The visit comes several weeks after Sanna paid a visit to war-torn Ukraine.

Sanna went to Bucha, the site of the mass murder of about 500 Ukrainians at the start of the war in March 2022.

I was in town with the HALO Trust, which works globally to clear unexploded landmines. In Ukraine, Marin says around 19,000 explosives have been neutralized since the war with Russia began.

While in the war-torn country, the former Finnish prime minister, who was just 34 when she took office in 2019, also made a brief return to diplomacy when she met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

She said: ‘I had the opportunity to participate in numerous debates on the state of the war, reconstruction and the European future of Ukraine.

“It was also very interesting to visit a humanitarian demining site in Bucha, where an international organization HALO Trust works to make war-torn areas safe by clearing landmines and other explosives.”

Marin dusted off his political hat for a moment, posed for photos with Shmyhal and sat down to chat with Finland’s ambassador to Ukraine over lunch.

He said: “It was a great honor to meet with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, and Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna .

‘With more than two years of brutal war, the need for international attention is more crucial than ever.

‘To win the war, Ukraine needs even more political, financial, economic, humanitarian, military and diplomatic support. Sanctions must be applied.”

As Prime Minister of Finland, Marin was one of Europe’s youngest leaders and oversaw her country’s successful application to officially join NATO.

Announcing his resignation from politics, Marin told Finnish broadcaster YLE that it was “time to move on.”

She said: ‘I’m looking forward to taking on a new role. I also think it can benefit all of Finland.

“I think I can serve those voters well (in Finland) and maybe even better in the new assignment.”
