Farmer Wants A Wife fans have become convinced that Farmer Joe Bobbin has a similar celebrity.

The 2024 series of the Channel 7 dating show kicked off last weekend and former Canberra Raiders junior Joe, 33, is among the farmers looking for love.

But viewers were distracted by one key detail, as they couldn’t help but take to social media to comment on who they think their celebrity lookalike is.

After Joe showed off his muscular body while going shirtless on a boat date, fans were quick to compare him to none other than Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman.

They wrote: “Reminds me of Hugh Jackman, Wolverine style”; ‘He looks like a young Hugh Jackman!’; Don’t you think he looks a bit like Hugh Jackman? I thought of it right away!’;

‘Gives Young Hugh Jackman Vibes’; ‘Is it just me or does anyone else see @thehughjackman here?’

Farmer Joe himself has even admitted that he has previously been compared to the muscular Australian Hollywood legend.

He said Yahoo! Lifestyle: ‘Actually, I’ve had that before. I’ve been to Wolverine costumes quite often, so he’s shown up before.

Viewers met Joe and his fellow farmers Tom, Bert, Dustin and Dean during Sunday night’s premiere, hosted by Samantha Armytage.

The five farmers are looking for love on the popular dating show, but it was recently revealed that it was originally considered a list of eight singles.

A source told New Idea that this is the “typical format of the show”, with more farmers announced in pre-production than the number that ultimately airs.

One of the dumped bachelors, South Australian livestock and agricultural farmer Zac, spoke out about his ouster from the show to Great SA last month, saying “some things just aren’t meant to be.”

However, Zac, 28, also said he is hopeful of finding his match another way.

The other farmers rejected for the 2024 edition were Nick, 22, also from South Australia, and rancher Todd, 33, from Baan Baa, New South Wales.

Set on farms in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria, the fourteenth season of the hit reality show features five young farmers looking for love.
