The Bush leader has remained silent about his ex following their divorce in 2016, after almost 13 years of marriage.
However, in the recent interview, he spoke candidly of his “embarrassment” over the split.
“I never thought I’d get divorced, so there’s just a shame in my life,” the rock star began.
“I feel bad for my kids,” she continued. ‘I wish I could have found a way to not have that in their lives. “It wasn’t fun for me coming from a broken home.”
He added: ‘It can be quite debilitating for children. The most important thing is that you don’t want to disappoint your children.’
