The New Boy is set in 1940s Australia and centers on a nine-year-old Aboriginal boy who goes to live in a remote monastery, run by a renegade nun played by Blanchett.
Meanwhile, the award-winning actress and Michael Fassbender are currently set to lead Steven Soderbergh’s spy thriller Black Bag, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
