The ceremony brought together Microsoft co-founder Gates, tech mogul Elon Musk, among other Hollywood A-list business moguls including Kim Kardashian, Margot Robbie and Olivia Wilde.
Gates arrived at the ceremony accompanied by Hurd, a philanthropist who was married to Oracle CEO Mark Hurd for 30 years until his death in 2019.
Musk, dressed in a classic suit with a bow tie, struck an extravagant pose for the photos, raising his hands in the air and looking up.
The glittering event, held at the Academy Museum of Motion Picture in Los Angeles, California, celebrates the year’s major scientific achievements.
