Eden Hazard reacted to Lille naming their training ground after him by hilariously mocking his reputation.
The Belgian star, who retired from football last October, has been honored by his former club by dedicating an area of ​​the Domaine de Luchin training ground to him.
Lille shared images of the inauguration on social media over the weekend and, during the event, Hazard spoke about the club’s tribute to its former star.
Taking to the podium, the 33-year-old revealed he only had one thing to say before humorously poking fun at himself.
He said: ‘I only have one thing to say. This is Eden Hazard’s field. So no gym, no running. Just playing football and breaking my ankles.

The Belgian is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in Lille’s history and has been honored with the Ligue 1 team placing a stone monument next to their training ground, as well as presenting a plaque to his former star.
Hazard began his career at Lille and made 194 appearances for the club, scoring 53 goals before leaving for Chelsea in 2012.
Hazard was on hand to see his former team come back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Rennes.
During his time at Real Madrid, Hazard was often accused of being unfit and struggled in Spain.
He helped the club win the famous Ligue 1 title in 2011, before making a £32million move to Stamford Bridge, where he became one of the most exciting Premier League stars of the time.
At Chelsea, Hazard would win two Premier League titles, two Europa Leagues, the FA Cup and the League Cup, as well as being named Footballer of the Year in 2015.
He left the Blues for Madrid in 2019 but was never able to regain the same form in Spain, with his fingers blamed on his weight and fitness.
After the opening of the training camp, Hazard was present to see his former team come back from 2-0 down and draw with Rennes, thanks to Jonathan David’s equalizer in the 92nd minute.
