The couple divorced when their son and sister Natalie were young, and Nikki is now married to David following the tragic death of her second husband, Christopher Shale, in 2011 at the age of 56.

Christopher was a senior Conservative and a close friend of former Prime Minister David Cameron. He collapsed and died in 2011 at the Glastonbury Festival, after disappearing for approximately 18 hours before being found in a cubicle in the VIP area.

An investigation later discovered that he suffered from undiagnosed heart disease stemming from high blood pressure.

Edo was so devoted to his stepfather that he named his son Christopher, with his former partner Dara Huang, after him.

At the time, a distraught Prime Minister David Cameron said: “Suddenly a huge stone has been removed from my life.”

‘You once said, when I turned 18, that being my stepfather was the greatest honor and privilege of your life. I echo this, being your stepson is the greatest honor of my life and I would never be here today without you.

‘I know how proud you would be of all of us today and that’s why you wish you could have met your three and soon four grandchildren. What joy they would have brought you.
