Christian Bale and Jessie Buckley were seen doing their own stunts while filming Maggie Gyllenhaal’s The Bride in Upper Manhattan, New York, on Thursday.
The Batman actor, 50, plays Dr. Frankenstein’s monster in the film, while his co-star Jessie, 34, plays his creepy girlfriend.
The acting duo were seen diving into filming scenes on the New York set late at night for the upcoming film.
Award-winning actress Jessie wore a harness as she and Christian scaled a building in a dramatic scene.
She held out a green umbrella as Christian tried to climb the building towards her.

Elsewhere on the set, Penelope Cruz, wearing a stylish green plaid suit, was seen leaning on a police car while smoking a cigarette.
The film marks a reunion for Christian and Jessie, who starred together in the 2008 Batman film, The Dark Knight.

Prior to production, Christian spoke about going bald for the role during his California Foster Homes opening ceremony.
‘I have to shave my head next week [for a movie]. I asked them to please let me postpone it, but they were all saying, ‘What’s wrong with Bale? What’s wrong with him?'” Bale said.
“I said, ‘Let me finish the groundbreaking and then I’ll go join you,'” Bale said, adding that he would begin preparations soon.
“I will be working with the wonderful Maggie, Jessie and so many talented actors in the cast,” he said.
“I have to be busy getting on the rack, breaking bones and eating a lot of fertilizer or something to try to grow,” Bale joked.
The actor is no stranger to rigorous preparations, and famously lost more than 60 pounds to play the emaciated Trevor Reznik in 2004’s The Machinist.
He also had to gain all that weight back to star in 2005’s Batman Begins, and he also lost another 30 pounds to play Dicky Eklund in 2010’s The Fighter.
Christian recently lent his voice to the English version of the beloved Japanese animated film The Boy and the Heron.

Christian will also star in The Church Of Living Dangerously, playing preacher John Lee Bishop, who got caught up in drug trafficking for a Mexican cartel.
