Two men and a teenager were winched to safety after their boat sank off the coast of Sydney during a shark fishing competition.
The trio were rescued from their sinking boat by the Westpac rescue helicopter about 37 kilometers off the coast of Coledale, south of the Royal National Park.
His boat, the Temptress, was almost completely submerged when triple zero was called and he was pulled to safety Friday afternoon.

In footage of the rescue, the teenager is pulled from the water first before rescuers return to the sinking ship to search for his father.
The third man was able to swim to a nearby boat which took him to shore.
The father and son were flown to the La Parouse rescue base in Sydney’s eastern suburbs to be treated by paramedics.
Westpac Helicopter spokesman Tony Waller said rescuers were unaware the group was in a shark fishing competition.
The boat, the Temptress, was almost completely submerged when the group called triple zero and pulled it to safety Friday afternoon.
“They were there for a shark fishing contest, which was nice to find out after the fact, before we went up to our rescue team,” he said. 9News.
Waller praised the group for staying calm.
“They did everything right,” he said.
“They stayed on the partially submerged boat and had their life jackets on.”
