Stunning drone footage has captured a freight train travelling across Lake Burlinskoye, which has a distinctive pink hue.

A stunning drone video has captured a freight train travelling across a pink salt lake.

The incredible aerial images were captured by filmmaker Vadim Makhorov. They show a train transporting salt across Lake Burlinskoye in Siberia’s Altai Krai region, close to the border with Kazakhstan.

The train runs on tracks built just below the surface of the water, and the deep hue of the lake helps give the scene a fantasy feel.

‘They literally scrub the bottom of the lake and carry the mixture of salt and silt to the train, which reaches the water along the railway line.
