Models have been raising eyebrows by wearing some very strange pointy hats on the catwalk at Milan Fashion Week.
They were spotted today strutting their stuff in bizarre hats during the Bottega Veneta Spring/Summer 2025 Womenswear show.
The brightly colored headdresses seemed to cover the models’ eyes, and some of them fell far below the shoulders.
They were advertising material for the Milan-based brand Bottega Veneta, known for its “minimalist elegance and quiet luxury.”
The show was hosted by Matthieu Blazy and featured stars including Kendall Jenner and controversial Olympic boxer Imane Khelif.

Bottega Veneta became part of the French group Kering, which also owns brands such as Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Creed and Alexander McQueen, in 2001.
But the brand’s distinctive approach to fashion has been paying dividends after its sales grew three per cent in the first half of 2024, compared with Gucci’s, which fell 20 per cent.
Bottega Veneta was founded in 1966 in Vicenza, in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy, and is renowned for its woven leather goods and expert craftsmanship.
She is notably absent from social media and thrives on a discreet hyper-exclusivity. In 2021, she deleted her Instagram account to the chagrin of millions of followers.
The brand is masterfully led by its artistic director, Mr. Blazy, who took over creative direction at the end of 2021.
He is a Franco-Belgian living between Antwerp and Milan who began his fashion career as a menswear designer for Raf Simons before joining Maison Martin Margiela.
Kendall Jenner, 28, put on a chic display at the event as she stepped out in a long-sleeved black dress that gathered around the waist with a gold buckle.

He then moved on to Céline and Calvin Klein, before being appointed ready-to-wear director at Bottega Veneta.
With expensive-looking materials and cult pieces such as calfskin jeans that sell for 5,200 euros, the brand has achieved considerable cult status in recent years.
It also features a distinct lack of logos attached to its products and opts for a more elegant design.
The bizarre hat trend was also spotted earlier this week during a Prada fashion show in Milan.
Models sported a striking array of unusual sunglasses and bizarre hats from the Spring/Summer 2025 collection.
But as outlandish as some of the new looks are, believe it or not, you’ll likely be wearing them (or watered-down versions of them) next year.
