Worst leg break in MMA history? Be the judge, if you have the stomach to watch

We’ve seen some nasty leg fractures throughout MMA history. Anderson Silva, Conor McGregor and Chris Weidman come to mind from the UFC, but this one might be scarier than all of them.

An amateur fight at Saturday’s Full Contact Fighting Federation “Rumble at the Roseland 120” event at the Roseland Theater in Portland ended in disaster when JR Bunn Broke his leg in terrifying fashion in his 130-pound showdown with Jason Shaner.

Bunn came out the door throwing hard high and low kicks. He launched a powerful kick with his right leg that Shaner parried and broke his shin. Bunn attempts to take a step back and instantly collapses to the canvas, where the fight was called off moments after it began.

UFC bantamweight Ricky Simon was present at the event and captured the finishing sequence, which you can watch below at your own risk (via x):

It’s never pleasant to see a fighter suffer this type of injury, but it’s even more unfortunate for Bunn, who is just starting his career after winning his amateur debut in February with a 24-second TKO victory.
