Mitch Duke shared a touching moment with his son Jaxson after scoring a crucial goal for his country against Tunisia on Saturday.
The Australian forward scored an incredible header to give the Socceroos the lead in their crucial Group D match at the World Cup, and Graham Arnold’s side needed a win to have more than a slim chance of reaching the last 16 .
And as he walked away to celebrate, Duke made a “J” hand gesture running into the crowd, where his delighted son Jaxson proudly watched.
Both of Duke’s sons are in Doha to support their father as he leads Australia’s line-up at the World Cup.
The Socceroos have not won a match at the tournament in 12 years and will hope to end that torrid run with a victory over their African rivals.
