The bachelor producers have approached a world champion athlete on Instagram to sign up for the show.

Dave Pow Tabain went to the platform on Wednesday to reveal that he was contacted by a Warner Brothers casting agent who asked if he was interested in requesting the dating show.

The 30-year-old kettlebell world champion and author shared a photo of the message he received and asked his followers: “Bachelor YAY or NAY?”

“We are currently casting for the next series of The Bachelor Australia and are looking for the man himself,” was the message.

The agent added: “We were hoping to chat with you about the casting process, if you were single first? And if you would like to hear more at all? ”

Speak against The Daily Telegraph Dave admitted on Thursday that he had never watched the show.

“I laughed a bit and I don’t watch TV, but I heard a lot about the bachelor and I thought it was funny that they attacked me via Instagram to sign me up.”

He went on to say, however, that it is “a potential way to meet someone who is right for you.”

Dave also revealed that he continued his application and contacted the casting agent.

In the meantime, a casting call has been opened for all hopeful people on Bachelor of The bachelorette in 2020.

The Bachelor website urges men and women aged 23-40 to ‘submit an application now’.

“Filming starts around mid-February to mid-May 2020 and can take up to 12 weeks,” the site says.
