Woody Harrelson and Owen Wilson bring heat in new crime thriller Lips Like Sugar set during the 1984 Olympics
Woody Harrelson and Owen Wilson report for duty in a new crime drama headed for the big screen.
Woody, 61, who was among the A-listers who attended a Bruce Springsteen concert in Rome, is gearing up to keep up with Owen, 54, in a movie loosely based on a true story, according to Deadline.
Lips Like Sugar takes place during the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.
Two young girls from different walks of life become friends against the backdrop of West Los Angeles’ punk and skate culture, according to IMDB.
Both Woody and Owen play former detectives. Their lives become intertwined after one of the girls goes missing.

Now that the two big names are attached to the project, casting for the other characters is underway.
The Zombieland star will also produce the project.
The two native Texans have worked together once before on Lost in London.
The 2017 film was Woody’s directorial debut.
The biopic was based on the life of 90-year-old music legend Willie Nelson.
Woody can currently be seen in the HBO/MAX drama White House Plumbers, playing Watergate figure E Howard Hunt, opposite Justin Thoroux’s G. Gordon Liddy.
Owen will next be seen in the Disney comedy Haunted Mansion, which opens on July 26.

Producer: Woody, 61, will also produce the independent film starring a former detective called in to search for a missing teenager.

Intertwined: The lives of Owen and Woody’s characters intertwine as they search for the missing girl against the backdrop of West Los Angeles’ punk and skate culture.
Brantley Gutierrez, a well-known music video director, will helm the independent project.
“Well it’s official!!” the Grammy winner wrote Monday on social media while sharing the news.
“I’m so incredibly excited and excited to be working with this amazing, amazing cast,” referring to Owen and Woody.
“How lucky to have the support of a truly talented team of producers and collaborators to bring this project to the big screen!!
