A shocked father-of-one has spoken of the moment he was told his son had allegedly been kidnapped by a group of unknown gunmen.

The boy, aged 10, was allegedly abducted by two men armed with machetes and a woman in a jeep at Adventure Park in Woodridge, south of Brisbane, on Friday afternoon.

“(It’s) scary to come home from work and get a phone call saying your son has been kidnapped,” the boy’s father said. 7news.

The group allegedly drove the boy for half an hour before his parents located them and managed to free him after a heated argument.

The trio allegedly took the boy away after he threw a stone at their car.

The boy’s parents claim that their son was mistaken for another boy who was actually responsible for the act.

“My son now has to live the rest of his life being put in a car, kidnapped,” the boy’s mother said.

“Another young man threw the stone and left and when the group returned they took my son because they look alike,” said the father.

The boy’s mother said her son wasn’t even at the skating rink when the incident occurred.

She revealed how the ordeal had left the family shaking.

‘It’s traumatizing. “My son now has to live the rest of his life where they put him in a car, kidnapped him,” he said. 9News.

“He wasn’t there, he was at a friend’s house around the corner. After what happened, they had gone to the skate park.

The boy’s shocked parents said they got into their cars and followed the alleged kidnapper’s car.

The occupants of the jeep jumped out of the vehicle when they were confronted by the parents.

The mother was heard shouting: ‘Someone help, help. They stole my son’.

The boy’s father was allegedly knocked unconscious while his mother’s leg was run over during the five-minute altercation.

The mother said she was relieved once her son was recovered.

“It actually wasn’t until we got in the car and got home that we really realized we had it back,” he said.

“Yeah, I just hugged him and that made me appreciate that he was okay.”

The alleged kidnappers were arrested a short time later.

Tauvela Soe, 27, of Woodridge, was charged with kidnapping and assault resulting in bodily injury.

He will reappear in court on June 10.

Another Woodridge man, 22, and a Kingston woman, 29, were charged with kidnapping and assault resulting in bodily injury.

The couple will appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on May 16.
