Women have revealed which penis size they find most attractive and which could lead them to cheat.
The findings, from a recent survey of 1,400 women, confirm the common stereotype: bigger is better.
More than two-thirds said that if their partner’s member is less than four inches erect, they probably won’t be completely satisfied during sex.
But there can still be too many good things. More than half think that an erect penis longer than nine inches is too big for them due to pain, the fact that the man reaches orgasm too quickly and it is “sexually selfish.”
And four in 10 women said they might consider cheating on their partner if his penis was too small, while more than half would break up with him if he was too big.
With these findings in mind, the researchers found that the ‘Goldilocks range’ is between six and eight inches upright.
But most men can’t live up to this. The researchers cited a recent review which found that the average erect penis length is between 5.1 and 5.5 inches.
However, men who do not fall into this range should not worry. The women surveyed also cited foreplay and their partner’s gentleness as key factors in their satisfaction.
Researchers from sexual health site Bad Girls Bible asked 1,400 women about their preferred penis size.
The graph above shows the percentage of women who would be dissatisfied with a penis of these lengths. Most believe that ten centimeters erect is too small for them.

The team of researchers at the sexual health website. bad girls bible surveyed 1,387 women over 18 years of age, with the average age being 42 years.
More than eight in 10 of them identified as heterosexual, while only 13 percent were bisexual and fewer than one in 100 were homosexual.
The team found that the smaller a man’s penis was, the less likely women were to be satisfied during sex.
In fact, as many as nine in 10 women said they wouldn’t be satisfied with a penis between one and three inches.
This is considered a micropenis and affects only one in 10,000 American men, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
And two-thirds of women surveyed said four inches or less was still too small for them.
Interestingly, one in 200 reported that even a one-inch member was still too big for them, which may have reflected the views of gay women.
The researchers said this could also be due to vaginismus, a rare condition in which the vagina suddenly contracts when you try to insert something into it.
For many women with this condition, penetrative sex is simply not pleasurable.
However, the chart above shows that a nine-inch or larger penis is too big for most women.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, the team found that penises may also be too large to satisfy them.
About 51 percent of women surveyed said nine inches is too big for them, while only 4.5 percent considered six inches too big.
Pain was the most common reason women cited for staying away from more well-endowed men, as this can cause problems such as bruising and vaginal tears.
However, those who prefer a man with a larger penis said they enjoyed “the feeling.”
Additionally, nearly four in 10 said their partner didn’t do enough foreplay, and just under 30 percent said they were too “sexually selfish” because of their size.
Taking the findings into account, the researchers suggested that the ideal range is between six and eight inches, with 7.2 inches being the best size in the erect position.
This range left 77 percent of women completely satisfied, with nearly nine in 10 preferring a seven-inch length.
The pie chart above shows that just over 40 percent of women surveyed would consider cheating on their partner if their penis was too small.
Fewer women would consider infidelity with a man whose penis is too big, although 30 percent might consider it.
And it’s not just the length that matters. Two-thirds of women said both length and width are crucial to satisfaction.
On average, the women surveyed preferred a penis that was five centimeters wide. This is just below the national average of 1.8 inches.
For comparison, a standard golf ball is 1.7 inches wide.
And the consequences of an undersized penis are greater than a simple bad night in bed.
The team found that 44 percent of women consider the size of a man’s penis before deciding to date them.
Additionally, four in 10 said they are less likely to date someone with a penis they consider too small.
Meanwhile, 57 per cent said they would consider breaking up with their partner if their penis is too big, with one in 10 saying they would “always” end the relationship in this situation.
And if they thought their partner’s penis was too small, two-thirds would consider breaking up with them.
The wrong size could even lead some women to cheat on their partners.
Four in 10 women surveyed said they would consider cheating on their partner with a small penis, while almost a third would consider cheating on their partner whose penis is too big.
Just under half also said a man’s size matters to them during a one-night stand, and more than two-thirds believe it matters during a “friends with benefits” situation.
The team said: “We can clearly see that penis size matters much more for a woman’s pleasure in those friends-with-benefits relationships compared to a one-night stand.”
