Woman’s body pulled from water on Mornington Peninsula

A woman has died after being swept into the water off Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.

The body of a woman was pulled from the water after being dragged over some rocks.

The woman was walking with two other people near a boardwalk at Cape Schanck off Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula on Monday.

The trio was swept into the water and only two were able to return to shore.

They were transported in stable condition to a nearby hospital.

Emergency services were called and at 12:15 p.m. they pulled a woman from the water.

The woman’s death is not being treated as suspicious and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
