A 66-year-old woman was found dead in a Brisbane unit and a man has been charged with murder.
Police and paramedics were called to a Fortitude Valley unit for a welfare check around 1pm on Tuesday.
Inspector Karl Hahne said police had to force their way into the unit, where they found the Western Australian woman’s body.
A 42-year-old man, a relative of the woman, was arrested at the unit and later charged with one count of murder (domestic violence crime).
He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
