- A stranger advised her on her golf swing
A golf clip has gone viral after a man corrected a woman’s golf swing while she practiced on a driving range.
Georgia Ball, a professional golfer and coach in the United Kingdom, was enjoying a quiet putt earlier this week when a man gave her some unwanted advice.
After hitting a ball, the man, who claimed to have played golf for more than two decades, said “excuse me,” before lecturing her about how she wasn’t using the correct technique.
The act of a man condescendingly telling a woman how to do something is known as “mansplaining.”
The stranger explained that Ball was swinging too slowly and that, in his opinion, this was affecting his game.
‘What you’re doing there… you shouldn’t be doing that,’ he professed.

Ball, a little taken aback, informed him that she was working on a new technique, but he interrupted again and emphasized that he knew better.
She explained that she had played golf for more than 20 years and insisted that she had to work to keep going.
Ball, ignoring the man’s advice, turned his next drive perfectly down the middle, but the stranger believed his interruption was justified.
‘See how much better that was?’ she said, taking credit.
He once again reiterated that he was going through a swing change and added that the best players in the world usually go slower when making an adjustment.
But the man disagreed and again laid out his credentials as a golfer for more than 20 years to dismiss Ball’s point of view.
Ball has more than 170,000 followers, all of whom were shocked by her experience but praised her for her graceful response to the stranger.

“You’re a better person than 99% of people on Instagram who are so calm in this situation,” one fan said.
Another added: ‘I thought you were so patient and polite with him… I don’t know how you did it!’
A third golfer responded: ‘“Look how much better that was” even though you didn’t change anything, amazing.”
“It was painful to watch,” said a fourth follower.
