Meghan See, 30, from Broadway, Virginia, comes from a family of obesity and would use any excuse to eat himself in oblivion.

She would eat all day and most of her meals were eaten in fast food chains such as McDonald's and Burger King, while in between she would eat on Pop-Tarts, cookies and other junk foods.

Meghan tapped the scale at 400 pounds (30) and was an American dress size 28 (UK size 32). She was embarrassed because she was unable to ride in amusement parks and couldn't squeeze into restaurant booths.

The then obese woman could not even put on her shoes without falling from the sky and struggled to find clothes that fit her in large stores.

The breaking point for Meghan was sitting at work with heat cushions to get through the day due to paralyzing arthritis pain.

She lost her mobility – and when she realized that her deteriorating health could mean she couldn't enjoy her daughter's life, she knew she had to do something about it.

She knew she had to love herself and on Black Friday of 2017 she placed an order for some supplements called Truvision that her sister had recommended. When she started taking them, she wondered how to make every meal healthier.

Now Meghan has eggs, fruit and peanut butter for breakfast on a typical day, lunch consists of meat and vegetables or a salad and more meat and vegetables for dinner.

Over time, she introduced weight walking and yoga to her route and later later included high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and weight training.

Meghan lost an incredible 240 pounds (17th 2 pounds) in just 17 months and now weighs a much lighter 171 pounds (12th 12 pounds) and slips into a much more comfortable dress size 8 (UK size 12).

Meghan, considering that she's holding her skin, now weighs 171 pounds and probably less without the excess skin

& # 39; I grew up in a small, close-knit city. Although I played American football at school, I was always on the bigger side. I come from a family of obesity, & Meghan said.

& # 39; In the end, it was my own fault to reach 400 pounds.

& # 39; I kept making bad choices and apologies. I blamed work stress, I blamed bad relationships, I blamed being a single mother, I blamed everything and everyone on my choice to use food as an emotional crutch.

& # 39; It became an addiction and in the end it didn't matter if I had a good or a bad day, that I would calm myself or reward myself with food to deal with all possible emotions.

& # 39; I would go out for dinner at places like McDonald & # 39; s and Burger King and fill the holes all day with lots of Pop-Tarts and cookies. I literally ate all day.

& # 39; It was frustrating for me because I couldn't fit into the spaces of restaurants. I was shocked to stand in line at amusement parks and not fit in the seats.

& # 39; I just wanted to fit as normal. Even when shopping for clothes in large stores, I crossed my fingers and hoped they had something big enough to fit me.

& # 39; I was out of breath and just put on my shoes. I brought heat pillow to work because the pain of arthritis due to my weight killed me. By the end of my weight gain, I lost my mobility.

& # 39; I was so unhappy with myself. I felt weak as if I had no control and I knew I had to lose weight, so I spoke to my sister who had been successful with these weight loss supplements. I bought something for myself on Black Friday of 2017.

& # 39; When they arrived, I started taking them and gradually changing my diet by replacing bad things like bread and pasta with healthy ones like many vegetables.

& # 39; Now I have eggs, peanut butter and fruit for breakfast, followed by meat and vegetables for lunch and the same again for dinner.

& # 39; I didn't do any exercises at the beginning, but in the end I added yoga and walking, then HIIT and weights.

& # 39; I had reached 171 pounds in May 2019 and can now fit in a much smaller dress size 8. & # 39;

Now Meghan is unrecognizable and people are completely shocked by her transformation. Sharing her journey with her friends and colleagues helped her to inspire people who were in a similar situation to her.

& # 39; Some people don't recognize me anymore. Some people are disbelieving and congratulating me and telling me how happy they are to see me happy too, & Meghan continued.

& # 39; I have received support from my friends and so many more friends by sharing my story. By opening myself to my struggles and sharing them with others, I have committed myself to other women who have felt the same as me. It really helps to know that you are not alone.

& # 39; I'd say the hardest thing is making sure you stay consistent, because that's the key. Everyone knows that to be healthy, you have to eat vegetables and exercise more often, but it can be a challenge to do this every day.

& # 39; I presented myself with daily challenges, such as eating a certain number of different vegetables. Trying new things makes it fun.

& # 39; Something happened to me that day that I decided to lose weight and I just loved myself and I kept that with me during this trip. My goal was not to look better, although it is a nice by-product, but to feel better and be healthy.

& # 39; Start believing that you are worthy of these changes. If you first love yourself a little, you will find that it is much easier to stick to it. Loving yourself helps you lead a healthier and happier life, & Meghan said.

& # 39; Never give up. I have failed so many times. I had so many people who told me that I would get it all back, because they had tried and reclaimed it all themselves.

& # 39; For those people I would probably say that a diet is not what they need. What they need are lifestyle changes that last a lifetime. & # 39;
