But for one Shein customer, the tracking may not have stopped there, as she claimed to have found a small round object sewn into her brand new denim overalls that she thought was a tracker.
TikTok user Riya was showing off her new outfit when she squeezed the back panel and suddenly a loud beeping noise sounded.
“I’m so scared right now,” Riya said, reaching behind the coveralls and pressing the machine again so the sound could be heard.
“Do you hear that?” she asked, clearly alarmed. “What the hell is that.”
“I really like these,” she continued, before taking off the overalls and cutting with a knife in the space where she could hear the device.
Riya then took out a white round object with the word Chipolo engraved on it and asked, “What the hell is this?”
Chipolo is a Bluetooth tracker that allows people to keep an eye on their personal belongings.

“What y’all missed was the panic attack and the police report but I’ve had these for a while now and I had no idea buddy,” Riya captioned the clip. “I feel so violated.”
In a follow-up video, Riya explained that when she heard the beeping sound, she “knew” something was going to happen.
She also revealed that she had filed a police report to investigate the tracker further.
Users were concerned about her safety and rushed to the comments section of the video to share their thoughts.
“It says online that a Chipolo tracker can only track 200 feet so I don’t know why they would put that in there,” said one user.
“They really took tracking your order to another level,” said another.
“Girl, call the cops and sue,” someone else urged.
“Last week I ordered Thanksgiving outfits for my kids from SHEIN. I didn’t realize what a deal I was getting. Someone else can take turns watching him for a while,” another joked.

Riya isn’t the only person who gets more than she bargained for with a Shein order.
A shopper who bought her colleague a Secret Santa gift was left petrified when a huge spider recently arrived with her Shein package.
Marnie Holman, 22, had placed a large order with the online fashion brand which arrived on Tuesday, but when she opened it, Marnie claims she saw something moving in the sealed bag containing the gift.
When she realized it was a spider, the customer was disgusted and threw the package away in panic.
“I’m terrified of spiders,” she revealed. ‘I took everything out of the box. Everything came in a large box because it was a large order.
‘Everything from Shein is in a sealed plastic, vacuumed housing. When I opened the bag with the Santa hat inside, something moved over the packaging.
‘I said, “Oh my fucking God, it’s a spider,” and threw it across the room.’
Marnie said the spider was “absolutely huge.”
“When I went over to film it, he showed me his fangs,” she joked.
