Paige revealed in a TikTok video that she noticed potential issues with Tropicana apple juice bottles after claiming that its 11- and 12-ounce servings were the same price.

A TikTok user accused Tropicana of “shrinkflation,” claiming the juice brand owes her “17 cents worth of apple juice.”

The woman named Paige alleges that Tropicana has reduced the size of its 12-ounce apple juice bottles to just 11 ounces while keeping the same price of $1.99.

He added that the company has quietly changed the caps on its bottles in an apparent attempt to prevent customers from noticing.

In a now-viral TikTok, Paige, who says in the video that she is autistic, compares the sizes of the two bottles side-by-side.

She said: ‘I go to the supermarket and think, ‘Oh, they’ve changed the lid; maybe it has less plastic, and that’s great. ‘ But then I picked it up and I knew straight away that something wasn’t right.

‘Tropicana didn’t count on my spicy, autistic brain. I knew it right away. I didn’t even have to look at the label.

She compares the two bottles and says, “Same price.”

The video, posted on July 16, has received more than 5,400 comments from outraged customers.

Paige, whose username is @rawr_its_paige, also claimed the calorie content of each drink did not add up.

The 11-ounce bottle of apple juice had 160 calories, while the 12-ounce had 170.

She added: “Don’t charge me $1.99 for 12 ounces and also $1.99 for 11 ounces. That’s not how things work,” Paige said.

‘You thought you could fool us, but no, you didn’t trust Paige.’

Antonio Rossi founded Tropicana in Florida in 1947, according to the company’s website

Today, all Tropicana drinks rank number three on the list of The most popular drinksaccording to YouGov.

This is not the first time the company has been accused of “shrinkflation” – the process of reducing the size of a product without changing its price.

Tropicana reduced its package sizes several times between 2010 and 2018.

This problem could be compared to the shrinkage of Listerine Fresh Burst mouthwash after its bottles shrank by 17 percent.

After the 2022 new packaging flopped and lost sales, it bounced back with a “new brand identity” and new packaging earlier this year.

Paige angrily claimed that she didn't need to look at the label to know that something was apparently wrong with Tropicana Apple Juice products.

“It’s really about communicating our care, quality, expertise and taste that we’ve built for 75 years much more in our packaging and being much more proud of who we are as Tropicana,” Tropicana chief marketing officer Elizabeth Ashdown said at the time.

Commenters insisted they would “rebrand” and one person wrote that the alleged price difference is “unacceptable.”

‘@Tropicana, come in the room, BFF, and answer these questions,’ wrote one TikTok user.

Others believed that this problem was a result of the most common business method of “reducing inflation.”

‘Shrinkflation: A lot of the things I buy are getting smaller, and some of them are getting smaller and more expensive,’ one commenter wrote.

Another TikTok user wrote: “Every company is making smaller containers. The half gallon is gone.”

DailyMail.com has contacted Tropicana for comment.
