A woman has sparked a fierce debate online after revealing that her partner “likes” sexy photos on social media – with some saying it’s perfectly healthy, while others condemning his activity as “creepy.”
The anonymous woman sought advice from the British parenting site, Mumsnetwhere she asked others if they would date a guy who “likes a lot of ‘sexy’ pictures.”
The woman explained that the would-be suitor seemed “nice” after a few dates, but she started to worry when she noticed he was following OnlyFans models on Instagram.
She added that the budding couple had yet to share intimacy and wondered if it was now time to “run for the hills.”
The woman’s predicament divided opinion among commentators who said they could never date the man, while a minority said it wouldn’t bother them.

She asked the forum, “Would you date a guy who follows OnlyFans accounts on Instagram?”
‘I’ve been on a few dates, nice guy. He’s been single for a while so I know guys can turn to things like that,” she continued.
He likes a lot of the “sexy” pictures. Yes, I checked his Instagram account (who wouldn’t?!) I’d like to think he’d stop doing that if he got into a relationship.’
‘What would you do? Run for the hills or see what happens when it goes further?’
“Oh, we haven’t slept together yet.”
Many answered her question with a simple “no”, while one person labeled the man’s behavior as “creepy”.
She asked the forum if anyone would like to date a guy who followed OnlyFans accounts on Instagram
One of them said, “I know a woman who has been dating a man like that for two years. I really wonder what she sees in him, he comes across as a creep.’
“No, never,” said another.
‘No. It’s just asking for trouble,” said a third.
While a fourth said it gave her the “ick,” saying, “I wouldn’t be comfortable with a man who wasn’t ashamed of being so publicly sleazy.”
“Get an anonymous proxy Instagram for watching almost naked women, don’t post it on your socials. And it doesn’t stop when you’re a couple, and everyone will feel a little sorry for you as their wife.’
The woman’s post was divided, as many answered her question with a simple ‘no’, while one person labeled the man’s behavior as ‘creepy’
Another explained, “Just because someone is single doesn’t mean they aren’t a creep. What kind of pages does he follow and what posts does he like? If he watched live cam girls and paid for sex, would it bother you? Where does he draw the line, where would you?’
“You already suspect there’s something dark about this guy or you wouldn’t have posted here.”
“Everyone has different standards, boundaries and self-esteem, so you really can’t go by someone saying they would or wouldn’t be okay with it. It’s what you’re good at – you have to think about what your standards, boundaries and level of self-esteem are.’
The poster later updated the post with the man’s age, to which one person responded, “It’s actually kind of gross for a 40-year-old, so no.”
However, someone else warned the poster not to judge the man or take social media too seriously, saying, “I think it’s strange not to give him a chance based on this alone. You don’t know him yet and it’s way too early to judge him on that alone.’
“If you do get into a relationship—and given that it’s bothering you—I’d tell him more explicitly that it bothers you so it doesn’t become something you build resentment over.”
“But in general, I really can’t get excited or care about social media likes and it’s hugely important.”
Another simply said, “Wouldn’t bother me.”
