A woman has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a bus crash in north Perth.

Two ambulances remain at the scene on Ellen Stirling Boulevard in Innaloo after a silver Hyundai i30 allegedly crashed into a Transperth bus at around 8.20am on Wednesday.

A spokeswoman for St. John’s Ambulance Service confirmed it did not appear to be a “mass casualty event.”

The driver, aged in her 20s, was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital after emergency crews freed her from her vehicle.

A passenger on the bus told The West Australian the driver allegedly tried to cross the lane before crashing into the side of the bus.

Around 50 passengers were on board the bus at the time of the crash, some of whom are believed to have been students from Churchland Senior High School and Shenton College.
