My neighbor cut down my flower garden – so I got epic revenge
A homeowner has revealed how she got her own back on a nightmare neighbour who ripped up her flower garden.
Taking to Reddit, the user @Specialist-Orchid-86 from Texas revealed she exacted revenge in the most colourful way possible by painting their neighbor’s fence different colors.
Posting a picture of the wooden fence, she dubbed the action ‘rainbow revenge.’
‘The neighbor cut down the flower garden in front of my fence again so I unscrewed every picket and painted his side. (yes it’s my fence),’ she explained.
A picture of the yard showed wooden planks of the fence painted red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.
One confused user asked: ‘Which side were the flowers on? Your side? If so, you can call the cops on him for trespassing and vandalism.’
To which the homeowner wrote back: ‘Yes, the flowers are in the 3 inch wide flower bed in front of the fence. Nothing touched his side or lays over the sidewalk.’
She added: ‘The fence was half this size in height last year. We replaced it with a 6’ fence after he started harassing us in the front yard.
‘We have it set back about 3 feet from the sidewalk so the gate doesn’t swing open and block the sidewalk, and I have flowers in that space. Every year for the past 3 years he has cut down my flowers.’
The culled blooms include Purple Heart plants, passion fruit vines and this year’s sunflowers and wildflowers.
Claiming she caught the neighbor on camera this time, the woman said she’s filed a police report and pressed charges.
She added that she’s recieved many compliments on the multi-colored partition, with other commenters saying that it looked lovely.
One person penned: ‘OMG He actually came over to your side of the fence and cut your garden? That’s terrible!’
Another said: ‘It’s looks beautiful. Your neighbor sounds like an unstable bigot- please be careful!’

Other Redditors commented their questions alongside complimenting how great the fence looked
A third wrote: ‘Oh it hurts my heart that your flowers got cut, but the colorful fence is awesome!’
This comes after the same Redditor wrote about more issues they had with their neighbor a month later, when they claimed he had guests intentionally block their drive.
Posting a snap of their neighbor’s blue car they claimed the parking war has broken out because the person next door wants them to move house.
The post read: ‘Neighbor has guests that intentionally block our driveway. The city takes hours and sometimes days to respond.
‘Yes, that’s their food truck left unattended in our driveway. They do this because they want us to move.
‘They physically ASSAULT other neighbors and have vandalized our property with spray paint.
A frustrated homeowner revealed their neighbour ‘intentionally blocks’ their driveway with his car. Taking to Reddit the user @u/Specialist-Orchid-86 from the US, explained they had been left fuming over the ongoing parking situation
‘Sometimes they sit out there blocking it and honking and then try to pick a fight if we ask them to move or stop. It’s been happening for years. The city refuses to do anything about it.
‘We filed for a peace bond and they didn’t appear. The judge issued a warrant after she (main perp) violated the deferral order to stop doing this but it’s been three months and the courts have stopped replying to my requests for an update. I am frustrated. They do this about 3-10 times a week.’
In an act of revenge the neighbor said he tried to get the car towed, but had no success because it hadn’t got a parking ticket.
Instead he decided to report seven of their broken down cars saying the police then got involved.
He wrote: ‘This hasn’t happened again since I reported all seven of their broke-down cars to the city and they got tagged.’
However many suggested maybe the neighbors park in front of the property because it ‘looks abandoned’.
