A Texas woman has revealed she thought she was about to die when she was attacked by her neighbor’s eight pit bulls, leaving her with horrific injuries to her arms and face.

Michelle Means, 52, of Willis north of Houston, was outside her home when the pack of dogs appears to attack her without warning along with other members of her family, including her pregnant daughter and 13-year-old son.

He was left with bite marks all over his body and needed 180 stitches and 90 staples to close deep wounds on his head, arms and neck.

“I just remembered that I didn’t want to die, but it looked like I was going to,” Means said. Fox 26. ‘They just started attacking me, biting my head, neck, arms, leg…’

The dogs’ ferocious attack was so severe that they seemed to view Means as little more than a piece of meat.

“I looked at the brown and white dog, and he looked at me, and it was like something snapped in his eyes, and he jumped up at that moment and grabbed my face,” Means said.

“And within a couple of seconds, another one grabbed my calf and I was on the ground.”

The savages removed part of his right cheek and left his lip hanging from his face.

‘The dog had bitten my lip, so they had to put it back together and sew it all together. I was missing a piece of my cheek, so they had to put the skins together,” Means explained.

“They’re biting you and tearing you apart piece by piece,” he said. Khou.

The brutal attack only ended when a man with a shovel saw what was happening and ran to try to scare the animals away.

“Everywhere they bit, they went to work, but they didn’t get muscle, they got to the nerves, but they didn’t get the nerves,” Means said. “It could have been a lot worse, and I realize how blessed I am to come out of this the way I did.”

Means and her children were then rushed to the hospital, where she underwent two surgeries and received several rabies vaccinations.

Her son suffered bites to his ankle, feet and calves, while her daughter had to receive stitches and rabies shots.

Incredibly, despite his horrific injuries, Means says he holds no grudge against his neighbor, but wants people to be careful around the dangerous animals.

“I just want people to be aware that it’s not always about what the owners do and how good they are, sometimes even the best dogs and they break down,” Means said.

A passerby intervened with a shovel to chase the dogs away, allowing Means and her two children to receive emergency medical care, which included surgeries and numerous stitches.

‘Even if a dog seems friendly, that doesn’t mean it’s friendly. Even if you don’t provoke them, that doesn’t mean they won’t attack. I don’t blame the owners, but I would hate for this to happen to anyone else.
