An incredibly unlucky woman missed out on a £3.6 million lottery win after all her numbers were just one away from the winning numbers.
Nicole Makrigannis, 23, from Liverpool, entered the Set For Life draw which would have earned her £10,000 a month for 30 years.
The total price tag is £3.6 million over the next three decades.
The makeup artist chose the numbers 3, 12, 20, 39, 44 and 6 in the Set For Life lottery.
But the balls drawn were 2, 11, 19, 38, 43 and 6 – just one number less than the numbers she had chosen – in an almost unbelievable stroke of bad luck.

Nicole was gutted when the draw was made and she noticed her hilarious misfortune.
She wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Oh my God. Why do bad things always happen to me?
“It was not the universe’s plan to let me live my life.”
To make matters worse, Nicole had actually selected the correct number for the life ball (6), needed to win the top prize of £10,000 per month.
Nicole entered the Set For Life Lottery draw – part of the main National Lottery – on Monday March 18.
Others on social media were also left in disbelief at poor Nicole’s misfortune.
Pal Adam, from Sheffield, said: “This would be my 13th reason. »
Another said: “It’s called ‘unique’. This usually means you are very close to the big win. The universe is simply testing to see how you will react.

Haleigh Bailey said: “No, that would start my villain era, I’m not going to lie.”
Another added: “Just saying the words ‘planned for life’ after seeing those numbers would have had me rocking back and forth in a corner sobbing.”
It comes after carer Joanne Jobson, 51, from Hartlepool, won the Set For Life prize in a draw on February 22.
Joanne showed what can happen if you manage to pick all the lucky numbers and plans to use the money to buy her own house, book a world cruise and attend an ABBA tribute concert.
She said: “I’m so excited to be able to buy my own home and have already started house hunting.
“I’m living with my mother while trying to save up for my own place, but I was still a long way from making the move – it’s amazing to now be able to make this dream a reality.” I still can’t believe I won, it completely changed my life.
