A woman who creates “stuck fetish” content has revealed that she became trapped in a metal folding chair and had to be freed by the jaws of life.

Sydney Jo, 27, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, documented her panic on TikTok after pinching herself into a small gap in the seat and realizing she couldn’t get out.

“For the past 30 minutes I’ve been trying to get out of this metal chair,” she said. “I’m literally stuck in it and can’t get out and I’m panicking because I don’t know what to do.”

The video showed her standing with her waist wedged between the seat of the chair and the bars attached to the legs.

Sydney explained that she couldn’t suck in her stomach and wiggle herself out because the seat was stuck on her tailbone and pelvic bone.

“I don’t know how I got in,” she admitted, adding: “I can’t get out. I’ve tried everything and I can’t.’

Panicked viewers offered Sydney suggestions in the comments, telling her to loosen the screws or try to get out the way she came in. Some just wanted to know why she was stuck in the chair in the first place.

The TikToker later shared that she had to call the fire department and felt “embarrassed” that they had to use the jaws of life to free her.

In her viral follow-up video, which has been viewed more than 7.3 million times, the firefighters first used bolt cutters to try to free her.

When that failed, they brought out the Jaws of Life – a hydraulic cutter typically used to extricate people from crashed cars. After they cut her out, she was able to get out what was left of the metal folding chair.

Sydney later answered questions about how she got stuck, first going into how to get into the seat but not out.

“Yeah, I tried to get out the same way I got in. No, I have no idea why I couldn’t get out the same way I got in,” she said in a video. “It just didn’t happen, and I don’t have a better answer than that.”

But the biggest question of all was why she got into the seat opening in the first place.

‘You know what? Like fair enough. I’d be wondering the same thing, so here it is,” she explained in her most recent clip. “My whole TikTok is basically sex work and giving sex work advice, especially online sex work. And “stuck” is a fetish category that I’m quite popular in and I’ve been doing it for about nine years now.

“And yes, I was just working. Its my job. So probably not the answer you expected, but I was literally just working,” she added. “But I’m glad it made so many of you happy and made you laugh. It was embarrassing, but hey, probably the best frozen video I’ve ever made.”

Sydney told BuzzFeed that fans pay $1.99 a minute to watch her somehow trap herself and then try to break free.

“Normally they want you to get stuck in something and actually have a hard time getting out, like they’re not faking it at all,” she said. “However, they want you to loosen up at the end — they don’t want you stuck permanently.”

She explained that she tends to pick situations that she knows she can get out of, and while she’s had some close calls, this was the first time she’s actually been trapped.

PennLive reported that the Ann Arbor Fire Department confirmed it was responding to reports of a person trapped in a chair on June 8.

Ann Arbor Fire Department chief Michael Kennedy said requests to untie people are “not uncommon,” although he noted that they usually involve remove a child’s head from a banister.

Sydney, who lives on a college campus, admitted to BuzzFeed that she told firefighters she was stuck in the chair during a “school project” because she didn’t feel like explaining the niche fetish to them.

“I’ve made dozens of videos and I’ve had times before where I panicked and thought I couldn’t get out of something, but I’ve always pushed myself through it no matter how bad it hurts,” she said.

“I’ve had to unscrew things, but I’ve never really been stuck like this, it was really scary.”
