A woman was left “shocked” after finding a “threatening” handwritten note on her car in a parking row.
The letter writer instructed the driver to ‘pay for a parking space’ rather than park in front of their home on Radcliffe Street in Royton, Oldham.
An anonymous poster on a Royton Facebook group said their mother-in-law found the piece of paper on her car on Saturday.
According to the post, she was concerned about where to park and asked residents “not to write threatening letters.”
The note read, “Can opener available at 81 or 83.

“Next time you need to leave your car for more than a few hours, pay for a parking space and don’t take valuable parking spaces outside my house!!
“The can opener might not come so soon next time.”
In response, the poster said: ‘Disappointed to share this was found on my mother-in-law’s car on Radcliffe Street today.
‘This person has no idea of the circumstances surrounding the reason for parking there, but this is irrelevant as the road is not owned by any of these properties.
“She is quite shocked and now worried about where to park when it was perfectly legal and reasonable.
“If someone has suffered any criminal damage, it might tell them where it came from, of course, that’s not certain.
‘Make sure you move to a house with a parking space if you have to park close to your house and don’t write threatening letters.’
