Pregnant woman is forced to give birth to baby girl on the side of a highway after rushing to hospital to deliver
A woman gave birth to her daughter along the highway because the hospital was too far away.
The expectant mother and father were on their way to the hospital in the Netherlands after she gave birth.
However, it turned out to be too far away and the woman gave birth to her child on an exit from the A13 near Delft on Saturday afternoon.
Shocking footage shows the family’s car pulling up on the side of the highway with the passenger doors open.
Despite emergency services doing their best to get to the scene, paramedics only arrived after the baby was born.

The newborn baby was then wrapped in a blanket and taken from the car to the ambulance.
Her mother, who was carrying a teddy bear, was then carried to her daughter on a stretcher.
The parents then shared a kiss before she was taken to hospital.
Earlier this year, a father in Australia described the frenetic moment his wife gave birth to their daughter on the side of a busy highway in January.
There was also another mother who gave birth to her son on the roadside on the way to the hospital in Queensland.
However, 23-year-old Shontelle Hall then decided to name her son after the paramedic who delivered him.
The paramedic was named Andrew Green, who accompanied her through the delivery.
Mrs Hall said: ‘I just feel blessed to have had such an extraordinary birth. It was just beautiful.’
‘It was better to give birth like this than with the other three in the hospital.
“I just hoped there wouldn’t be any complications living so far from the hospital — but at this point with Paramedic Andrew, I felt like I was in safe hands.
“I felt I’m going to be okay because he cares for me — it was an important moment for me to trust a stranger with my life and my baby’s.”
