A woman has been crushed and air-flown to the hospital after being run over by a boulder weighing 100 kilograms.
The 40-year-old woman walked through steep terrain on a private property in Gympie, Queensland, when the horrible accident occurred.
Her sister, who was walking in front of her, accidentally released a boulder while the couple walked up a steep hill.
The woman was transferred by RACQ LifeFlight from the Sunshine Coast to the hospital after paramedics could transport her to a clearing in the field (stock image of the plane)
The boulder then came down the hill, turned the woman over and rolled straight over her.
The woman, who is believed to be in her forties, was rescued when a helicopter arrived around 6.30 pm on Saturday.
She was taken to the hospital by RACQ LifeFlight from the Sunshine Coast after paramedics could have taken her to a clearing in the grounds.
Her sister was also taken to hospital with minor injuries, including a presumably broken limb and possible chest injuries, according to Courier Mail.
