Woman fights for life after horror crash on M1 on Gold Coast
A woman fights for her life after a terrible accident on a busy highway.
Emergency services rushed to an on-ramp on the Pacific Highway at Molendinar, on the Gold Coast, on Tuesday evening following a collision between a utility vehicle and a sedan.
Queensland Police were told the ute was heading south on the Smith Street slip road to the Pacific Highway and had slowed to merge into traffic when the yellow sedan pulled into traffic. is crushed into the rear of the vehicle at high speed.
A 32-year-old woman from Nerang was freed from the crumpled wreckage of the sedan and was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the sedan, a 34-year-old Nerang man, was also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigations are ongoing.
