In their apartment, the Romeros had an elaborate system of locks that ran from the top of the door to the bottom before they got fed up and fled.
Romero also had a problem with the way Raddatz framed things, as something that Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman and Gov. Jared Polis haven’t taken seriously enough.
“I feel like the mayor, the governor and the police are downplaying the situation,” he said.
After a shooting at the apartment complex earlier this month, the Romeros’ car was riddled with bullets.
“I was forced out of my apartment by gang activity, people carrying guns in the hallway and patrolling the grounds with guns.”
Romero, who spoke during Donald Trump’s visit to Colorado on Friday, says the media didn’t take her at face value or do their research and left her stranded.
“I’m a taxpayer, I pay my bills, I do what I’m supposed to do,” he added.

‘Operation Aurora’ will target the Aragua Train. Trump delivered the new political goal while standing next to blown-up photos of several of the gang members detained by the Aurora Police Department.
Trump said Friday that Operation Aurora would act as a gang member elimination program by invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 “to target and dismantle all illegal immigrant criminal networks operating on American soil.”
However, it is currently unclear how the plan would differ from current policies that allow the United States to root out violent criminals.
The former president continued to talk about the “immigration crime” enabled by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ immigration policies inspired the creation of his campaign plan.
