Woman dead and two children missing after getting into trouble on Chipping Norton Lakes in Lansvale

A woman is dead and her two children are still missing after the trio were seen struggling to stay afloat in river rapids on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to a boat ramp at Floyd Bay in Lansvale, south-west of Sydney, at 10.15am on Saturday.

Witnesses reported seeing a woman and two children in the water in danger.

Paramedics were able to remove the woman from the water shortly after arrival, but were unable to revive her and pronounced her dead at the scene.
