In 2019 CTV News reported that Drake had been granted an exemption from Toronto statutes that allowed him to build extra-high fences around the expansive Bridal Path grounds.
Drake was given special permission to build his fences at twice the height allowed, the outlet said.
“Everyone knows where he sleeps and where he eats, and that really scared him,” said Drake representative Brad Rafauli at the time.
